Central Dental Ltd. was established in 1947, supplying materials and equipment to dentists in the Toronto area. Over the next couple of decades the company grew and was acquired by one it’s employees, Larry Smith. In the late 60’s and 70’s Larry became a big supporter of the burgeoning Denturist profession and helped that profession establish it’s legitimacy across Canada. Over the next decade the company progressively shifted it’s focus on supplying to the Denturist and Dental Laboratory markets.

Larry’s son, Joe, became active in the business in this period and eventually took over the company from Larry. In the last few decades Joe has overseen the expansion of the business across Canada as the second largest supplier to the lab and denturist markets, and in recent years has been working to keep the company at the forefront of the dental industry as a leading supplier of digital workflow solutions to dental professionals.
