Through a newly developed material composition (4Y-TZP) and optimized manufacturing processes, cubeONE® is composed of a unique hybrid micro- structure. The crystal structure has a perfect ratio between cubic and tetragonal zirconium oxide particles.

The defined amount and controlled size of the cubic crystals reduces the refraction index and increases the translucency (aesthetics). The dominant, smaller, tetragonal crystals increase the stability (strength).

cubeONE® defines a class of its own and proves that aesthetics and high fracture resistance can come in the same package.

AGING RESISTANCE

The ability for phase transformation toughening is unique for a high translucent cubic zirconia. The crystalline structure begins to change in such a way that it stops the progress of a crack in the ceramic and closes it again. DD cube ONE® exhibits no signs of aging according in vitro tests.

UNIQUE BREAK PROTECTION FACTOR

DD cubeONE® is the first cubic zirconium oxide with increased break protection factor. High fracture tough- ness and additional phase transformation toughening effect make it unique.

Fracture toughness describes the resistance of a mate- rial against crack growth. The material characteristic value is the critical stress intensity factor KIc and it is no less important for clinical success than the bending strength.

Micro defects on the surface caused by adjustments after sintering can be the origin of a crack. When the KIc is exceeded uncontrolled crack growth occurs and lead to fracture. The higher the fracture toughness the higher the resistance against cracks.

AESTHETIC HIGH PERFORMANCE CERAMICS

Based on the “DD cubeX2® – cubic zirconia system®” Ml offers a flowing color gradation from cervical to incisal. The fabrication of aesthetic monolithic crowns and bridges has never been this efficient. The lively chroma and increased translucency in the incisal third meet the highest demands of modern CAD materials.

COLOR WITH CONCEPT

Ml guarantees colors according to VITA® and an over- lapping, continuous color gradient. The chroma is reduced and significantly brightened in the incisal area. The production process and quality assurance in our transparent production are characterized by a high level of automation. Close tolerances and sensitive measuring technology ensure a precise reproducibility of the color layers from batch to batch.

As a result you be assured that the desired color gradient as planned in CAD/CAM nesting is achieved after milling and sintering. The height of incisal and lower dentine layers are designed for a flexible variation of color intensity.

FIXED INCISAL CONCEPT

A greater differentiation of layers in the nesting software and a simple layer concept make it easy to define the nesting position in the blank. Every blank height has a 3.5 mm incisal zone, so that only the thickness of the body zone increases with higher blank heights.

BioZX2 is a high-translucent, high strength material that is isostatically pressed, resulting in a more dense material that mills more predictably without chipping. BioZX2 comes in white discs that are dipped/shaded, or in pre-shaded discs based on the Vita Classical shade system – various disc diameters are available.
